3 ways 2 life - Display unit with generative texture

I needed to create a small display unit for a shop window, I created a generative scratched texture using rhino that could be applied to existing 3d models to create aging.

Display unit for use in shop window displays and at pop-ups. A key part of the brand recognition package for my 3 ways 2 life project, the form is based on an evidence tag pendant I have been making for some time, my existing 3d model was rescaled and altered to use depossed text, allowing pieces of jewellery to sit inside the text.

I then created a small grasshopper module to generate and apply scratches to the surface of the model.
Due to hardware limitations, I could not run at as high a resolution as I would have liked but the output was satisfactory none the less. Current version uses a planar envelope, which fulfilled the requirements for this project, but with extra steps the same texture can be applied to a 3D surface.
