AutoRD autonomous motorcycle project

Government funded research project to explore autonomous motorcycle control.

Government funded research project to explore feasibility of autonomous motorcycles. The first generation test mule was based upon a BMW c1 scooter, with a mechanical control system developed from aerial drone parts. Software control was built in matlab.

I was involved on a part time basis over several years, acting as test technician, prepare the test mule for test routines and collecting logged data. Later I built wiring harness' for the first and second test mules. I also developed a remote controlled safety cut off for the bike.

I'm grateful for my involvement in this project, I learned a lot about automotive wiring and control systems that has aided me in many other projects.
